Our old tent is broken, so we bought this one. Just got a chance to try it last weekend. In all, it is a nice buy and good quality. We have done a lot of winter camping in windy and cold conditions. This time we went off trail in the wilderness above tree lines. The campsite was exposed, and the weather was quite wet and chill. We thought this tent has “saved” us from the bad weather. It was a great windbreak with solid fabric inner tent. Most of all, the price is very nice, too.

Two thumbs up ! It was like at home in this tent.Double-track zippers made it possible to zip up one of the fabric doors to block out the icy wind and leave the other open for air circulation. The materials are superb .Gone thru some severe rain in bone-numbing temps with no problems.Have no idea about the performance on warmer trips, but basically this is a decent shelter for the money.

It’s a tremendous value .Had it in some severe weather situations above the treeline, including 40 mph winds and heavy rain which drenched the entire campsite , it held up remarkably well.We brought extra tough stakes and guylines and tied down to rocks. For normal use the original stakes are enough.However,weight(5.7lb) is heavy for thru hike or long backpacking trips.

Excellent performance.
I did some research and decided on this tent for a winter adventure.Together with a 20F sleeping bag,it seemed to do the trick through sub-freezing temperatures .Actually we didn’t feel any chilly wind inside with the screen mesh windows shut.It was sturdy and all the features were well thought out.The stakes were a little less strong than I expected, other than that the fabric quality, design and workmanship has been very satisfying !

It was like having my own hotel room on the trail. Got a couple of heavy sideways downpours in the middle of the nights,it was as loud as hail but not a drop of water got in.When gusts of chilly winds got under the rainfly I closed both windows to cut the wind and this caused some condensation building up on the walls.Bathtub floor was pretty strong on it's own for most normal uses, but you’d want a footprint if you are camping on rocky ground.Anyway,The price for the quality of this class was a great deal for me.And the extra durability is worth the weight in my opinion.

This tent is perfect for me (5'4 ) but my 6'4 boyfriend has to lay diagonal and still touches both ends. So if you are a longboy, size up. Other than that it is easy to put up and pack down and I have used it backpacking multiple times. It isn't the lightest or smallest tent for backpacking (it takes up about half of my 55L Bag space-wise), so if you are really counting ounces, you may need to shell out more cash for a lighter/smaller one. But for 2-3 day weekender trips, this it perfect.

Tested the tent out during a proper rain storm and it kept me completely dry and I slept great. Easy to put up and tear down. Packs down small and light. Poles don't feel super durable which might concern me in high winds but I don't get much wind where I camp. Overall a great product.

We used this tent on a-5day excursion through the southwest and it was marvellous for wild camping ! It rained on us relentlessly for 2days and this offered a great place to rest and wait out the weather in spite of the uncommon temperatures changes We stayed warm and none fo the gear got wet.A small amount of condensation was found on the fly in the morning but that was minor . I would recommend this tent with clear conscience !

Great tent for the money! Easy to set up. I used it this past week through 2 days of snow and 2 days of rain all in a row. It didn't leak at all. My only problem was condensatuon, but once I vented it and used a small portable fan directed at top condensation was no longer an issue. I did a poor job with the footprint (oversized tarp not made for this tent) and lots of water got underneath. This posed no problems. A little small for 2 people, but you know what they say, always buy one size larger for tents. I definitely recommend.

I’ve used this as a base camp tent and spent a few nights in it.It was strong and warm.At the cost it’s an extraordinary tent, yet a few things to know about:This isn’t a hiking tent,it weighs 5.9lbs.This is a 4 season tent and ,materials are thick and robust, for ventilation only 2 mesh windows and roof vents ,it requires a taut pitch with all guylines and stakes for minimal condensation.

So, We tried it out immediately after delivery and got caught up in nasty weather with strong wind ripping through the campsite before hours of rain. The tent stood steady and robust ,nothing fluttered and everything inside remained dry even though we found the tent partly in a puddle the next morning(With footprint lined beneath). Tent is warm, better leave the mesh windows open. Some condensation was noticed, but only on the rainfly. The stakes should be updated with strong ones.
